This makes Wilma Deering the mitochondrial ancestor of <em>all <\/em>the swell dames in my retro future. (Also of everyone else; but do we have to get technical here?)<\/p>\n<p>\nWilma knew all the ropes of the twenty-fifth century by the time Buck woke up there: her inertron jumping belt helped her leap in great, dreamlike bounds because its antigravity made her nearly weightless; she had her own personal rocket ship; and, of course, she had her stylish (but lethal) <em>atomic pistol<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p>\nWilma Deering <em>swung<\/em>, only because at that time no one would have said &#8220;Wilma Deering rocks&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nGo Hero has been turning out some terrific high end action figures based on familiar characters like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webomator.com\/2010\/05\/22\/go-hero-adds-dan-dare-and-the-shadow-action-figures-to-its-line-up\/\">The Shadow, Dan Dare<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.webomator.com\/2009\/07\/19\/go-heros-buck-rogers-action-figures-now-defending-your-desk-against-the-perils-of-space\/\">Buck Rogers<\/a>. I&#8217;ve mentioned those here before. <\/p>\n<p>The Go Hero limited edition Wilma Deering is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.goheroshop.com\/Shop_item.php?id=90&#038;cat=2&#038;sub=0#\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">now available for pre-order<\/a>. She&#8217;s a highly detailed figure with a visored cap, bubble helmet, four pairs of hands, and accessories like the jumping belt and ray gun.
